Funeral Assurance

Vineyard Funeral Assurance has bagged yet another gong, taking the Outstanding Funeral Assurance of the year 2016 -2nd Runner-up at the prestigious Megafest National Business Awards held in Harare.

The latest adds to several accolades the company has won over the years, a sign the company has become a competitive brand on the market.

Speaking soon after the awards, company Managing Director, Dr Solomon Chikanda, said the honour bestowed on the company was an affirmation of the market’s confidence in the company’s products and services and this gives them the zeal to keep scaling new heights.

“These awards are a confirmation that what we are doing is making an impact out there, and therefore should keep working extra hard to keep these awards coming,” he said.

He said the company should stay resolute and continue looking into the future.

“We delight in the honour of having these awards to our name, but this should not deter us from also putting the same determination we have put in the previous years that yielded these results. We also need to work for this year which is already in full swing such that by this time next year will be celebrating again,” he said.

Dr Chikanda accredited the success of the company to hard work, perseverance and passion constantly flaunted by the loyal staff, who managed to make navigation of the road to success more possible.

“I want to thank and congratulate you all for this award. It is because of your teamwork, hard work and pushiness that you have always shown to make the company’s brand viable. As I have always said, these awards and recognition are not for me alone, but for all of us. You are the people making things happen,” he said.

The glittering event, held under the theme “A better Zimbabwe is possible”   was graced by captains of industry from different sectors, to celebrate excellence by various business gurus.

Traverz Managing Director, Zodwa Mkandla, who was the guest of honour, spoke highly of the need to be innovative and challenged captains of the industry to come up with ground-breaking policies in-order to make a spin of the downcast economic condition currently faced by the nation.

Barely a month ago, was the company honoured for its visionary excellence by the Zimbabwe Leadership Awards (ZILA), where it scooped the Top Leadership Excellence Company of the year for visionary leadership while Dr Chikanda was conferred the Top Business Leader of the year for visionary leadership.
